Robocamps - It’s our bilingual overnight special

Our overnight bilingual training camp!

Kindgerecht und bildungswirksam: LEGO Mindstorms - der programmierbare NXT Baustein im Campeinsatz

We’re reoffering you again our overnight special this summer 2015, which already had taken place in the years 2006, 2010, 2013 and 2014:

This classic will proceed for the fifth time and it won’t only welcome children from Germany but also from all over the world. The Camp will be located in the youth hostel Jugendherberge Ehrenbreitstein , from where you can enjoy a fantastic view over the rivers Rhine and Mosel and in the youth hostel in Mayen in the Vulkaneifel.

LEGO is made in Denmark, the software is a product of the states and the children are coming from all over the world. It is the summer school of the “Kinder Technik Ferien Camps” sited at the University of Coblenz, Germany, which makes this possible.

Participants at the age of 10 - 14 years will build and program LEGO MINDSTORMS Robots and be able to test them at a test track, which will be built cooperatively during the camp week. At the end of the week the robonaut-cup is waiting for you. It is known as the great challenge where robonauts can show what they have learned and built.?

Our main focus is to build and program LEGO MINDSTORMS, but opportunities for sport activities and an accompanying social program will not be missed out. The participants will get the chance for having a language and cultural exchange.

The participation fee includes full board residential in shared rooms and the full program. There will be a LEGO MINDSTORMS set (home edition 8527) and a personal computer available for each participant. The Lego-software is available in many languages. The new EV3-software will also be used. Our staff and course instructors are well experienced students of the University of Coblenz
